My freshman year of high school I was placed in the Principles of Agriculture class because I couldn't find any elective that sounded interesting to me. I learned about agriculture and the FFA and a fire was started in me. My passion for agriculture grew more and more with my increased involvement in this wonderful organization. It lead me to pursue a degree in Poultry Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. Upon graduating in August of 2016, I worked in the agriculture industry for a year. This my second year to teach agriculture. I am an alum of Martin High School so I am thrilled to be back in AISD! This year I will be teaching Livestock Production at the Agriculture Science Center and Wildlife Management at the Career and Technical Center. My ag teachers in high school are the reason I am where I am today and I strive to be that same advisor for the students of Arlington!
